Laura J. Kunze

Laura has been an Interior Designer in the Columbus area for over 20 years. She began her career at Showrooms of Fine Furniture and led up to starting, Grand Interiors, her own design shop. She has also designed for many here in the community on a Freelance basis. We welcome her to Hinson Galleries, where she can marry her expertise in interior design with our fine and beautiful furniture, accessories, window treatments, artwork and rugs.

Kim Matthews

Kim has been an Interior Designer for over 30 years. She is an Auburn native and a graduate of Auburn University in Interior Design. Kim spent most of her career in the Atlanta area doing residential design, was a buyer and merchandiser for seven furniture stores and assisted with some of Atlanta’s largest show-houses including The Street of Dreams. Kim was fortunate enough to train under some of Atlanta’s most renown interior designers. Kim is happy to bring her years of experience back home to Columbus, Auburn and the surrounding areas. Susan Turner

A nationally acclaimed celebrity designer, successful entrepreneur, inventor, manufacturer and civic leader. Susan’s custom designs are favored and embraced across the country by Politicians, Actors, Athletes, Recording Artists and every home searching for something truly special. Her award winning designs have been routinely featured in leading publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, Veranda, Kids Today, Parenting, Home Improvement, Traditional Home, Southern Lady and Southern Baby. She has served as an elected member of the city council as well as sat on the board of CB&T. She presently serves on the Board of the Cancer Society Auction at Sea Island, Georgia and is a member of the Humane Society. She has served as a member of the Marshallville Foundation, a Philanthropic entity for grass roots improvement, and founded the Marshallville Historic Preservation Commission among other activities.

Susan has invented custom designed, developed, marketed, managed and manufactured exclusive textiles for use in bedding, coordinated accessories, and related products. Susan has traveled worldwide in her search for textiles to bring home and co-ordinate with those produced and designed by her in America. She rapidly built her clientele to upwards of over 300 accounts nationwide.

As Founder and CEO of SUSAN TURNER BABY, INC. Susan began by branding her works with her signature bunny Neeman. Susan developed her line of fabrics and products; launched showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas in addition to attending and regularly showing at trade shows in New York, Orlando, Chicago and High Point; created website design and cooperated with online firms for internet sales for worldwide marketing; oversaw daily operations and grew her company to multi-million dollar level. With Susan’s perspective that every child is special, her designs find their way into the most discriminating homes.

Inventor/Founder/CEO of BUGGY HUGGY, INC.  Susan invented, developed and marketed the innovative shopping cart handle cover. She marketed the BUGGY HUGGY including producing a TV commercial, and later selling the invention to a large corporation.

Her business savvy is a combination rarely found with such exceptional creative talents. The truth of the existence of this rarity is evidenced by her successful endeavors of TURNER ANTIQUES in Merchandising, Purchasing, Operations; TURNER ART as Co-founder overseeing Marketing and Development; BENNETT and TURNER INTERIORS, INC Partner/Designer; as well as  SUSAN TURNER INTERIORS. She also served as showroom director and buyer in linens, furniture, art, rugs and antiques for Island Design and Architectural Center (a 27,000 square foot showroom on St. Simons Island) as well as worked with the IDAC team on large commercial design projects, a recent one on Hilton Head Island.
